    • B.Tech in Electrical Engineering - Intake 60

      The Department of Electrical Engineering was established during the year 2011 and has been on the road of excellence since then. The main vision of the department is to create excellent graduates in Electrical Engineering field to attain the global competitive standards of knowledge, wisdom and consciousness

      The Dept. has a dedicated set of faculty with supporting staff and lab technicians. The Electrical undergraduate course has an intake capacity of 60 students from all over India

      It places strong emphasis on fundamentals to introduce the students to complex real life problems arising out of recent advancement and technological innovations in diverse areas. As Electrical Engineering is becoming more complex and advanced day by day, the dept. has taken steps to increase importance to recognize the advanced technology that have gained importance in recent times. The dept. has also taken initiative step to enhance quality of students by providing extra lectures on Soft skills and German language

      At SGU, we have state of the art infrastructure and laboratories with total investment in equipments of more than one crore. Taking into consideration the requirements of industry and research organization we have developed all our labs

      Objective

      • To prepare the students in higher education or a professional career in Electrical design, Power system, Industrial Electronics & Automation technologies
      • To train the students with breadth in science and engineering for analysis, design and creation of novel products and solutions in Industrial Automation technology
      • To develop professional and ethical values, team spirit, communication skills and social awareness in the students

      Scope of Employment

      The students will be eligible to be employed in Electrical & Electronics companies, Industrial automation companies, System Development consultancy firms Government undertakings, Defense vehicles manufacturing units. The students can also opt for civil services examinations such as UPSC, State Public Service Commissions. They can choose to seek admission to higher studies in all institutes including technology and management. Entrepreneurship is also an option after acquiring sufficient experience

      The M. Tech. program consists of the fundamental courses in Power & Energy and specialized courses on Power & Energy Technology. It aims at training the students in Power system technology with a sound base of Electrical Energy Engineering. For a better learning process, students are exposed to case studies and problem-based learning, brainstorming, written tests, computer simulation, group discussions, industrial training seminars, technical seminars and projects
